About me

My name's Elisa Borella,  I'm an Italian native speaker from Milan, but in the last few years I've discovered the beauty of stepping outside my comfort zone and living abroad.

• 2015: Perth, Western Australia - Italian assistant teacher at St. Mary's Anglican Girls School;

• 2016: Milan, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - Bachelor of Arts in Italian literature (dissertation in Linguistics);

• 2018: Milan, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - Master of Arts in Italian Literature and language (dissertation in History of the Italian Language);

• 2019: Graz, Austria - internships in BRG Kirchengasse, Società Dante Alighieri Graz and Karl Franzens University's Institut für Romanistik;

• 2019: Siena, Italy - DITALS I didactic certificate (adult and senior learners) and DITALS II didactic certificate (all type of learners);

• since 2019: Graz, Austria - Italian language trainer at Società Dante Alighieri Graz (courses online and offline for adults and seniors, school workshops);

• 2020: Siena, Università per Stranieri - post-graduate course in Teaching Italian as second language (didactic project about audio-visual teaching material for a more effective intercultural teaching);

• since 2020: online and onsite - Language trainer for Italian as second and foreign language;

• 2020-2023: Graz, Austria - Italian language trainer (offline and online) in the adult's education field at Österreichische Urania für Steiermark and at Internationales Sprachzentrum an der Universität Graz;

• since 2021: Graz, Austria - Italian Lecturer in Bachelor's and Master's degree courses at Karl Franzens University's Institute for Romance studies;

• since 2022: Graz, Austria - Italian Lecturer at Karl Franzens University's Institute for Translation studies and Centre for Language, Plurilingualism and Didactics.;

• 2022-2023: Łódź, Poland - Online Italian language trainer in the adults' education field at Al Dente Szkoła Włoskiego;

• 2023: Online, Zoom - host of monthly grammar-themed webinars in Italian as part of the Simone Pols - Language coach membership programme;

• since 2023: Villach, Austria - Italian Lecturer at the School of Management of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences;

I'm always enthusiastic and curious about new experiences and getting in touch with people from countries and cultural mindsets different from my own, who are interested into Italian Arts, landscapes, cuisine...! Ready to tackle new challenges, I do my very best to promote, enhance and protect the Bel Paese's culture!
